About

Kenneth “Tojo” Gibson is the creating founder of Bigg Dawg Entertainment and  Bigg Dawg’s Playhouse podcast. A native St. Louisan, Gibson began as a freshman at Beaumont High School, located on the city's notorious north side. He was later selected to participate in the city's desegregation program; a program that promises more potential for learning and academic opportunities for inner city students by being bused to a less diverse St. Louis County school. As a result, he transferred to and graduated from Oakville High School, in St. Louis County.

In the fall of 1987 Gibson set off for his freshman year of college at Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. During that year he was allegedly involved with some typical on campus antics and was asked not to return by the schools administration. With limited options for earnings potential and financial responsibilities weighing heavily on his shoulder, he adapted the life of a street hustler. This lifestyle led to him taking on various legal entanglements, incarceration, and ultimately surviving being shot 14 times. Following that, he took multiple losses causing him to reevaluate his life. He began to make noticeable changes that redirected the trajectory of his life.

Gibson returned to his roots; incorporating his school boy experiences, hustlers mentality and his faith & spirituality rooted in his childhood teachings, to parlay his love of music into a successful entertainment company! His new life motto is "love" and his mission is to share his life’s journey, to inspire self-love and love for your fellow man. While navigating the entertainment industry, Gibson managed to establish and maintain relationships with some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry. The likes of fellow St. Louisans, comedian/actor and mentor, Cedric “The Entertainer”,  world renown “DJ Kut the turntable knocker and radio personality, DJ Charlie Chan Soprano DJ for RUN DMC and the infamous rapper DJ Quik to name a few. By way of his social media podcast, Bigg Dawg’s Playhouse, he uses his life as a prime example of how a changed mindset can open doors of opportunity and  promote growth in your life. “Tojo”, as he is affectionately known, is a man who loves his family, sports, reading, traveling and community. He particularly loves to share his infinite wisdom and intelligence. An avid wisdom seeker, he desires to continue to use his platform's to inspire others to make a positive impact on all mankind in this limitless universe.
